Milton Mathis, Convicted Killer, Executed In Texas Despite Evidence Of Retardation

My thought was the offender is rendered unconscious before they are made paralyzed. Even if they are not completely unconscious and can still feel pain I'm still fine with that. Death usually occurs in what.... 15 minutes or less? I doubt it's nearly half as painful as what got them them there. Besides aren't doctors and scientists looking for newer less painful ways to execute inmates (those that don't mind the ethical qualms). If the death penalty is still used 20 or so years later for all we know it could very well be totally pain free. Dnt know if it would still serve as a deterrent then tho. Now that I think about it it should be made even more excruciatingly painful as you put it. Geez it's not like we're actually giving them what they deserve, torture. How about we just put a bullet through the somewhere that ensures instant death... dont feel anything even though heart may still be beating that is until it stops. What bugs you the most, the fact that they feel pain before they die or what?

I'm sorry but I don't get this barbaric position. When ur executed by a state ur in a room, on a flat not so uncomfortable table, ur laying down strapped of course. One probably feels on the pinch of the needle and if the execution is carried out properly (as it is in most of the cases) you almost feel nothing while u go. Now lets rewind to the crime that got u there.... you obviously took someones life, probably in a very gruesome heinous way where they felt lots and lots of pain or if they're alive are not living a life anyone would choose to live. So what exactly is barbaric about the death penalty or the way it's carried out? Personally I think the capital crimes rate would drop if states made it clear the punishment was death nd didn't waver in executing those who commit such crimes. Isn't it a better punishment rather than have them enjoy the life that they took from someone else? Besides they wont get raped or beaten in prison.

So lets give guns to every1 hu 'needs' them right but the govt shld b ............. There r horrible people hu do horrible things. I say get rid of them (if u can't prevent the crimes. we're failing there of course) instead of spending money 2 house, feed & treat them after they've destroyed lives. As long as there r rules guiding the procedures of the death penalty and the government is not lenient with it but uses it 4 the gravest of crimes I'm fine with that. Every1 when they're born have rights human and civil. If any1 takes away the right of another 2 live or the ability to live life to the fullest they should be punished as such. Rapists & molesters of children below the age of 10 shld be executed. The sad thing I feel is the govt punishes those of lesser social standing more than it punishes those of higher social standing (politicians, wall street types, basically rich, powerful influential ppl). No one's gonna touch them. Personally don't feel this article says enough 4 me 2 make a statement bout if he deserved 2 b executed or not but does retarded mean insane cuz if it means ur just not as smart as the average guy then I don't see y the punishment shldnt be fitting 4 a grave crime... ur just as evil as the average guy 2 commit such a crime so.......

Anthony Weiner Wife Pregnant: Huma Abedin Expecting (Report)

I think the bigger issue with all these leaders is their integrity. If they don't have it in their personal lives, to the people who love them the most and who they're supposed to love the most, how are we to expect them to lead multitudes/us and make good decisions on behalf of their constituents? Clearly he is a selfish man caring only about his 'needs' and make no mistake this selfishness is present in his professional life as well. I understand that it is personal but as a leader when you are called to lead people you are held to a higher standard. You can't do what you want when you want how you want because ur in a position of authority. It's not like he's doing something good behind the scenes like some charity work he's not talking credit for but this...? not even a year into the marriage with a pregnant wife! The motives for those who exposed him might very well be wrong but he should face the consequences. All this baffles me really, don't understand if the women should be blamed for being bad in some way or if these men are just really.......... mean (for lack of a better term)
